SANKALPA DIVAS 2012-13

On the auspicious day of Vasantha Panchami students of class 10 took a sankalpa to uphold the ideals of the institution and serve the great Motherland Bharath with true spirit of patriotism in all their future endeavor.

Programme began with Deepaprajwalana by his Holiness Sri.Sri.Sri.Madhusudananda Puri of Omkareshwara Mutt, along with Sri.Ganapathi Hegde - Treasurer, Rashtrotthana Parishat, Sri.Dwaraknath - Secretary, Sri.Maheshwariah - Correspondent and Smt.Manjula Principal.

Other dignitaries present were Sri.Rangaraj Iyengar, Sri.Gajana Lohande, Smt. Malini Prabhakar-Member of the Governing Council RVK-Banashankari, SmtPurhspaltha Pre primary Pramukh and Dr.Pushpa Upreti PU Principal.

Swamiji in his ashirvachana highlighted the meaning and importance of ‘Guru’ in one’s life. He further added saying students must choose the right path and always lead a simple life.

 During the deepa pradhana and deepa sweekara ceremony School captain Supreeth Chadaga and Navya of class X passed on their responsibilities to the upcoming leaders who vowed bring up the school in to the fore of greater glory and fulfill their duties honestly.     

Sankalpa was administered by school Principal. Students of class IX presented a melodious instrumental as a token of love and remembrance to the outgoing students.

Few students of class X recounted their experience they had in school with pride. Parents too expressed their gratitude to all the member RVK family for the holistic development of the children and inculcating values in them.

Sri.Ganapathi Hegde in his Presidential remark highlighted the ideals of great personalities like Swami Vivekananda, Dr.Ambedkar, and Dr.M.C.Modi to make the children understand the true meaning of Sankalpa.

Programme concluded with a vote of thanks followed by Lunch.

                                         REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION

Republic day celebration a historic event was celebrated on 26^th January 2013. Group Captain Sandeep Batta, Chief Instructor, Air Force station, Yelahanka was the Guest of Honour.

After lighting the Tradition lamp Chief guest was escorted to the ground by the School band accompanied by Correspondent Sri.Maheshwariah, Principal Smt.Manjula,P.U Principal Dr.Pushpa Upreti, Pre Primary Pramukh Smt.Pushpalatha and School Captain.Supreeth Chadaga.

The tri colour flag was unfurled by the Chief Guest followed by troop inspection and March past by the students. 

Formation dance by the students of class 3 and 4 reflected the feeling of patriotism. Other cultural programme included Pyramid formation, Taek won do show, patriotic song and speech in Sanskrit.

Chief Guest awarded the parents who won prizes in various events organized in the school to mark the 150^th Birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

Chief Guest in his speech congratulated the students for their excellent performance and appreciated the school discipline. He further added saying that school has embedded the Indian culture in the curriculum and students must never forget this culture wherever they go and should represent a true Indian citizen.

Programme concluded with rendition of Vande Mataram.

Avishkar school exhibition was inaugurated on the same day by Chief Guest Group Captain. Sandeep Batta. Emphasis was laid on scholastic and co-scholastic subjects. Viewers were absorbed in the creative work done by the students. Children exhibited various working models, experiments, models and charts.  Chief Guest appreciated the efforts of the students & teachers.

               INTER SCHOOL SWIM MEET 2012-13

Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra hosted its 2^nd Inter school swim meet on 12^th January 2013. Kum. Pooja R Alva International Swimmer inaugurated the event.  She in her speech said that “Participation is important and losers must put in more practice and succeed in life”

Sri.Dinesh Hegde, Secretary Rashtrotthana Parishat in his Presidential remark inspired the swimmers by narrating an incident from Mahabharatha where Arjuna learnt the skill of archery only through continuous practice and concentration.

About 160 students representing 12 schools participated in various categories. Swimmers gave an excellent performance.  They were highly competitive. Cheers from coaches, teachers and audience boosted the confidence of the swimmers.

Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra won the overall championship with 335 points out of 12 categories, in 8 categories Individual Championships were bagged by RVK champs.

Correspondent Sri.Maheshwariah and Principal Smt Manjula congratulated all the winners and appreciated all the coaches for their tremendous efforts in training the swimmers. 

Annual Day Celebration 2012

Rashtrotsava 2012 was celebrated on 21^st December 2012.Theme for the event was “River”. Festive evening started with Deepa Prajwalana by the Honorable Guest.Sri.Shivaraj Patil, Former chief justice, in the presence of management members and the Principal Smt.Manjula.

 After the invocation, Principal welcomed the august gathering. Chief Guest in his speech appreciated the management for setting up a school that inculcated Indian culture which in far diminished in the present days. Chief guest stressed on the role of teacher in molding the child in to the responsible citizens. Parents and teachers must inculcate values in children rather focusing on academics.

Sri Dwarkanath Ji highlighted the achievements of the school in brief.

Cultural programme began with Gangavatharam followed by skit, dance, street play, Ganga arathi, Shadow dance and mime. Children gave a spectacular performance which captivated the spectators.

The entire programme was beautiful compared by Chavi of class VII who narrated the autobiography of a river. Cultural programme depicted the birth of river, importance and the decreasing value of river.

The amscience was decorated in accordance with the theme. School gave an opportunity to 950 students to show their talent. Smt. Pushpalatha conveyed a vote of thanks.

Programme came to an end with rendition of Vande Mataram.

ANNUAL SPORTS MEET NOVEMBER 2012

Rashtrotthana celebrated its 7^th Annual sports meet on 17^th November 2012.  Programme began with deepaprajvalana by the Chief Guest Sri.Lakshmeesha, Athletic  Coach, Sports Authority of India, Sri.Dinesh Hegde, Secretrary Rashtrotthana Parishat, Sri.Ramachandra, school counselor in the presence of School Correspondent Sri.Maheshwariah, Smt.Manjula Principal, Smt.Pushpalatha Pre Primary  Pramuk and  Smt.Pushpa Uprati  Principal P U College.

Sports meet was declared open by the guest.  Students marked their respect to the guest by Athathipranam and March past.

Yoga formation, Hoops display enthralled the audience and the guests.  Chief guest in his speech stressed on the point that physical education is very essential to every individual.  Only through yoga and exercises we all can lead a healthy life.  He appreciated the children for their discipline and interest in sports.

Sri.Dinesh Hegde in his address said that sports has to be given equal importance along with studies.

Pre Primary tiny tots actively participated in Butter fly race, rat race, beach game, picking up the golden egg and crowning the friend.

Primary and higher section children proved their best in the track events as they received cheers from their friends and audience.

Winners looked happy on the victory stand and Prerana House bagged the overall championship.

Sports meet came to an end with rendition of vandemataram.
