 The objectives of Yoga are to understand the following concepts :

·         Asanas and Surya Namaskaras

·         Mudras

·         Shat Kriyas

·         Saptha Chapra

 

Manifestation of all these subjects in yoga.:

Yoga is derived from the Sanskrit word “Yuj” which means to untie, to join or to connect.

 

Goal of Yoga:

Yoga is a science, a unison of mind, body and soul. However, it is the spiritual objective of the Yoga that is considered to be of utmost significance.

 

Yoga helps in the overall development of an individual and transforming the society. Yoga could be an outstanding method for the problems faced due to stress and strain.

 

Yoga develops positive thinking in an human being. Guru of yoga Sri.Patanjali indicated eight stages of Yoga called Asthanga Yoga. These eight stages modifies the human behavior from personal conduct, posture, breathing and control of senses. Our great leader Swami Vivekananda had emphasized on this practice in almost all his teachings.

 

In Rasthrothanna Vidya Kendra, Yoga is being taught in a simple and easier way according to the age group. A well designed syllabus is planned at the beginning of the academic year and classes are held as per the syllabus.
